03 Oct Q&A with Lauren Bright – our new Chiropractor
Lauren Bright started at CBH in early October. The best way to get to know her is to book in for an appointment but to get you started here’s a few Q&A’s with the latest member of the CBH team!
What made you want to become a chiropractor?
I had always had an interest in healthcare and I wanted a career in which I could make a difference and help as many people as possible which led to me training in Chiropractic.
I first experienced Chiropractic when studying for exams in my teens when I sought relief from my daily headaches, neck and back pain that I was suffering from. I experienced immediate relief and was amazed at the benefits of chiropractic care, and the difference it made to my day to day life. I find it hugely rewarding that I can help patients with similar symptoms.
What’s an area of chiropractic that particularly interests you and why?
Whilst studying at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth I had the opportunity to work closely with children, babies and breastfeeding mothers at a newborn feeding clinic. Together with midwives we helped babies who were struggling to breastfeed. Through this grew a fascination in how Chiropractic can sometimes help babies and children. From this I attended further CPD to develop this area of interest and now I really enjoy treating babies, children and pregnant mothers in practice.
What are your hobbies, interests outside of work?
In my spare time I can be found in the gym or out running. I’m currently training for a half marathon! I also have a love for good food and live music. Having recently moved to London I’m looking forward to spending my weekends exploring the city.
